A short drive into the hills from the capital takes us to Bukit Tinggi, a well-known resort situated on a hill of the Titiwangsa Range. The forest surrounding this resort is one of the most reliable sites for Mountain Peacock Pheasant. The short road track to the birding site offers a few species harder to get in other areas. Due to its proximity to Kuala Lumpur, Bukit Tinggi is a good site for a day trip or as a stop over before heading to the other main sites like Taman Negara and Fraser's Hill.
